Enquire About Decking & PathsAbout This Project
This back garden is set on several levels, with stone retaining walls and well-stocked beds, but the upper area wasn't being used to its full potential.
We built a large timber deck on the upper level, giving the owners a flat, generous space for seating and entertaining. A timber boardwalk path leads from the deck down through the planted beds, linking the different levels of the garden and making it easy to walk through. The decking uses grooved boards, which help with grip in wet weather.
With pots and planting added around the edges, the deck now sits naturally within the garden and makes a natural spot to sit outside and enjoy the garden.
Working in Prudhoe
Prudhoe is built on the hillside above the River Tyne, and many gardens in the town slope or are set on different levels. Decking is often the best way to create a level, usable space on ground like this without the cost and disruption of major earthworks.
